About Us

B&H Sound Services was originally formed by the current Managing Director, Brian Hillson. The business started as a location recording service, but soon expanded into live sound and event support, initially to religious events. Offices were found in Eye, Peterborough and remained the base for the next 19 years. As the business expanded into new areas, including video and projection, the need for more space became more pressing and so extended warehouse space nearby was acquired. 2008 was a very busy year. The recording side of the business was sold to its largest client, relocating to Kettering in the process, while the rest of the business moved to new larger premises close to the A1.

Nearly 30 years on, B&H remains focused on providing Sound, Light and AV solutions to the live event industry. Today around 60% of our work is corporate events and a variety of concerts and festivals ranging from classical to pop, with the balance made up of large and small religious events.

What we do

In an industry dominated by large specialised companies delivering a single service at a very high level and small companies offering a wider range, but on a smaller scale, we believe we are unique in offering full Sound, Light, Video & Event support for any level of event, from a small one day conference to a multi site, multi date festival. We have developed a level of flexibility to allow us to scale our services to fit any budget and virtually any scenario you can envisage.

Highlights from the past 12 months include:

  • Supplying main stage sound to End of the Road, one of the best respected and highest rated Music Festivals of 2008 – As we have from the event’s inception.
  • Supplying Sound, Light, Video and over 20 staff to Spring Harvest, the UK’s largest Christian Event – for the 17th consecutive year.
  • Supporting one of the UK’s largest event and production agencies on a range of events, including national meetings for 800 delegates, interactive shopping centre stands and management conferences.
  • Enabling the Children’s Society to successfully launch their latest high profile national report to the press.
