So do I need a license to operate my radio mics in church?

If you are operating less than four radio mics on the de regulated frequencies between 863 – 865 Mhz, then no.

You will need by law to be in possession of a license to legally operate radio mics if;

you are using more than four radio mics, or
if you are close to other users and need other frequencies, or
if you are using your microphones at locations other than fixed church in which case contact JFMG ( Joint Frequency Management Group).
