Training
Training for Sound and Video in Worship
At } we have been providing training to our engineers and your operators over many years. Every successful installation includes training on both equipment operation and also engineering skills in the church worship situation. We also provide regular training at seminars across the country, and even special training events hosited in local churches. In 2011 we have launched our first training DVD which cover sound engineering in worship.
– Over two hours of superb teaching from one of the UK’s most enduring PA specialists!
Brian Hillson brings over 40 years of experience as a live sound engineer to help you train your church worship team. Discover with practical demonstrations how different microphones work, how to get the best out of the mixer and choose the correct loudspeakers. Resolve the issues of intelligibility in difficult acoustics, microphone selection, feedback, EQ and learn new techniques to run effective sound checks.
Discover that you are as much of an instrument of worship, in your role in PA, as a musician is on the stage – one integrated team working together to bring excellence to the worship experience.
Use this practical step by step guide to benefit everyone who serves your church in the worship team. It provides an excellent resource as part of your training.

We believe that the success of a new sound and video system involves the training of ther operators and your nominated system owner. Therefore we will provide initial engineering commissioning on every system and dependent on the size of the installation will provide additional operator training. For systems involving digital mixing desks we will include power user and engineer training as well.
Training isn’t all about the technical aspects though and we often provide training to the worship team, technical team and ledership team. In some cases this occurs prior to an installation, in some cases as part of commissioning.
If you would like to know more please ask.
We believe that, as Christians and providers to the church, we should contribute to equipping the church in skills and teaching on the use of Sound and Video for effectve worship. We offer our seminars free, and you can hear them at Spring Harvest, The Renewal Conference and at other events around the country.
As sponsors of the Christian Resource Exhibition we also provide technical seminars as part fo the main show programme.
For more details see the CRE website.
As well as regular training seminars we offer bespoke training at your church. Usually this will be hosted by a church and advertised within their local area. If you are interested, call and ask us for details.
