Celebrating #PL100, 100 Years of Polish Independence since the end of WWI the occasion also marked the 170th anniversary of Chopin’s final concert that took place at Guildhall in November 1848.

Client brief – To project clearly the Polish Cultural Institute’s PL100 logo onto the outside wall of the Guild Hall London.

In order to do this effectively, we carefully looked at the artwork provided, and suggested to the client that if we were to edit this logo to reverse the colouration from a red logo on a white background to a white logo on a red wall washed with high brightness LED lighting.

We used a single BARCO UDX projector for the static projection of the logo to allow for the highest resolution and brightest projection we could provide, paired with several SGM Q7 High Brightness LED fixtures to maximise the quality of the Red wall wash whilst maintaining control of the client’s budget.

The project was taken on through B&H’s business development team, with collaboration between the Peterborough office Reading office to make use of its specialist equipment and technical staff resources whilst being less than 35miles from the venue.

The “#PL100 campaign” attracted support from a multitude of different sources, with lighting and projection installations at some of the world’s most famous landmarks, such as: The Eiffel Tower, amongst the Pyramids, Burj Khalifa and installations in Tel Aviv, Kuwait, New York and Warsaw. Many of these images have since been posted on: various social network, media and news platforms.

The client’s feedback -“Yesterday was amazing! Thank you ever so much. Your team was brilliant, projection fantastic! I don’t know how to thank you. People commented a lot, and even strangers stopped by to ask about it. Ambassador and all directors are very happy.”

We were delighted to be able to be a part of supporting such a significant milestone in Polish history!
