We welcome the UK government’s generous rescue package announced today for theatres and venues, however they are only part of a vast industry involving suppliers, manufacturers, distributors, designers, technicians and stage crew.
With no timetable for when events, concerts and performances are allowed to start again, this complex supply chain is on the brink of collapse – as it stands this rescue package will not go far enough to support the thousands of businesses and individuals who work behind the scenes of the UK’s events sector.
